Raymond H. Price

Biography

Raymond H. Price, a lifelong resident of Monticello, NY, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

The son of the late Lester & Florence Price, he was born April 2, 1933 in Monticello.

Ray was employed by the NYSDOT for 36 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the Bear Paw Hunting Club & The Southwoods Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 54 years Ethel Miller Price; two sons: Daniel R Price Sr. & wife Kim of Spanaway, WA and Douglas H. Price of the Bronx, NY; eight grandchildren: Joseph Wisniewski Jr. & Benjamin Wisniewski of Monticello, Rebecca Vera of the state of Florida, Daniel Price Jr., Derek Price, Alex Caso, Deborah Caso and Paige Price of Spanaway, WA; two brothers: Robert and Donald Price; four sisters: Violet "Toot" Calhoun, Shirley Calhoun, Carol Surerus and Marilyn Taylor; as well as many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents Ray was predeceased by a daughter: Deborah Price; three brothers: Lester Price, Arnold "Scoop" Price & Richard "Tom" Price.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, from 6-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 23, at 10am at the funeral home. Rev. Paul Case will officiate. Burial will follow at Messenger Cemetery in Monticello.
