Biography

Our loving mother, Anne M. Brawley, 68, of Panama City, FL formerly of Monticello, NY passed away on June 27, 2010 after an extended illness. The red-headed Anne was born to her Irish parents in Manattan, NY on May 13, 1942.

She married her husband, Tommy, a Navy veteran and proud member of the FDNY, on June 6th 1964. They raised 5 children together, first in the Bronx then upstate in Monticello. After caring for her children for many years, Anne made caring for others her profession. She was a night manager for the special needs children facilities at the Sullivan Diagnostic Treatment Center for 11 years. After recovering from heart surgery in 2000, she became a Case Worker for Rehabilitative Support Services of Monticello where she worked until her retirement in 2007.

She was predeceased by her husband, Tommy, as well as her father Martin Clohessy, her mother and step father Anne and Thomas McGrath, brother, Edward Clohessy, sister, Joan McManus and brother Terrance McGrath. She is survived by her son, Jim Brawley and his wife Melissa of Panama City, FL, daughter Christine Hasbrouck and husband Paul of Augusta, GA, daughter Maureen Perrello and husband Anthony of Woodbourne, NY, son TJ Brawley and wife Kathleen of Monticello, NY, and daughter Tara Ivaliotis and husband James of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by one niece, eight grandchildren, one great grandson, many great and great-great nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to list.

A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Church in Monticello on Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 at 3pm. A Celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow the memorial service at Mr. Willy's Restaurant in Monticello. All friends and family are invited to attend.
