He was 64.The son of James McLoughlin and Jaqueline Mazak Bernhardt, he was born March 23, 1946 in St. Petersburg, FL. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Middletown, Terry was also an avid gardener and a great reader, frequenting the Middletown Thrall Library. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Arlene Morris McLoughlin, at home; his father: James McLoughlin & his wife Norma of Harpswell, ME; his mother: Jacqueline Bernhardt of Hallandale Beach, FL; two sons: Michael McLoughlin & his wife Alice Pesce of Boston, MA, and Thomas McLoughlin & his fiancé Lauren Friedeborn of Ellenville; a daughter: Susan McLoughlin of Bloomingburg; two grandchildren: Anna and Oliver; a brother: John McLoughlin & his wife Elizabeth of Portland, ME; a sister: Anne McLoughlin & her husband Alan Hummer of Brunswick, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
