Biography
McDuffie "Love" Andrews, a longtime resident of Monticello, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 85.
The son of the late Charlie and Nancy Andrews, he was born on December 24, 1926 in Pensecola, FL. Bro. "Love" Andrews was baptized in the Name of Jesus at the Little Grove Holiness Church and later attended Bethlehem Temple Church.
He is survived by his grandsons, Reggie Harris (Shari) of San Antonio, TX and Ronald Harris (Lucille) of South Fallsburg, NY; his two brothers, Bishop Charlie Pun Andrews (Myrtle) and Bishop Alfred Payne (Glenda Joyce); one sister, Alfreda Payne; four great-grandchildren: Tevin, Tenia, Nyasia and Stephon Harris; a goddaughter: Tanja Maddux; two sisters-in-law, Mae Andrews and Lilly Andrews; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Love was predeceased by his wife Pauline Andrews, his daughter Sylvia Lee Harris, his parents, one sister and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11am, at the Bethlehem Temple Church, Fairground Rd., Monticello, NY. The Bishop Mervin Armstead will officiate. Internment will be in Rock Ridge Cemetery, Monticello.
