Andree Caradec-Sherman

Andrèe Caradec Sherman the daughter of Yvonne and the late Andrè Caradec. A former Wurtsboro, NY resident passed away on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 with her son by her side. She was 72.


Andrèe was a kind and thoughtful woman, who was loved by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Andree accomplished many things throughout her life, a former graduate of Monticello and Suny New Paltz and a past crowned Miss Sullivan County followed her and her late husband’s dreams to retire in North Carolina visiting NY as often as she could. Andrèe had a love of water which included swimming, the ocean and fishing with her grandchildren.  She was proud of her French heritage and enjoyed arts and crafts and sewing gifts for children.


Andree is survived by: her loving mother Yvonne Caradec; her son: Henry Sherman (Erin) of Texas; her daughter: Glenne Sherman (David Lebel) of Wurtsboro; four grandchildren: Ryan Fuller (Danielle), Brittany Fuller, Sophia Gowans and Shelbie Sherman; and two great grandchildren: Ryan Jr. and Carson. She was predeceased by Andre Caradec; and her husband Glenn Sherman.


Family & friends are invited to gather on Sunday, December 23 from 2-5pm for a Celebration of Andrèe’s life at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Pastor Anthony Ciaccio will provide services at the funeral home at 4:30pm.
