Obituary of Barbara M. Yeomans

Barbara Marie Yeomans, a retired office manager for the NYS DOT, and lifelong resident of the area, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her home in Monticello.  She was 77.

The daughter of the late Marie Florence Kinne Jardin and Harold Henry Frey, she was born February 1, 1942 in South Fallsburg.  She was predeceased by her husband John in 2014.

Barbara loved to bowl and was a member of the US Bowling Congress.  She had lots of friends through the years at her job and bowling, and she loved crossword puzzles.  She had the wealth and knowledge that many people depended on.  If you needed anything, you called Barbara.  Her friendly ways and her beautiful smile will be missed by everyone.  She loved her dogs and all animals very much and supported many organizations.

She is survived by two nephews: Brian Stickle & his wife Cheryl of Monticello, and Tim Albrecht & his wife Yvonne of Monticello; stepdaughter: Wendi Burke & her husband Leo of Pine Bush; a stepbrother: Anthony Jardin; numerous grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews; and her beloved dog Molly.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her stepfather: John Jardin and stepbrother: John Jardin Jr.

Family & friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 10 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello with a funeral service starting at 6pm at the funeral home.
